Authenticity, in business, in branding, in social media is one of the most important elements and it differentiates us from each other.
Artificial intelligence is going to cause us to have to redefine authenticity.
I first read this in a report on Social Media from Hootsuite and it really stood out to me not only because its incredibly true but because its complicated.
Artificial intelligence will cause us to have to redefine authenticity. And how exactly are we going to do that? As individuals, as consumers and as entrepreneurs who rely on that for some business development.
It will no longer mean that content is 100% in your words and/or your voice. It could mean different things to different people and companies, and we’ll need to pay attention to that.
It could do the same for integrity and having to keep your word, especially in business. It may be too soon to really tell how this will be impacted, just yet.
So how do you integrate these two keys, authenticity and integrity into your brand, your writing and your service?
I loved the way this was put, once I got past the idea of ‘not in your words’ and considered what this new definition would be. This is going to require change and it is an opportunity.
Artificial intelligence is going to require us to redefine authenticity, as an entrepreneur integrating authenticity into my business, my writing, my marketing is essential for success and for the brand. At least it has been.
It was once about your content being in your words, your voice — artificial intelligence is going to challenge that and cause a new approach to be required. Making a personal brand becoming equally or even more important than a business brand.
I’m sure this is only a small portion of what artificial intelligence is and will become. It’s a great place to start.
Authenticity sells. So it too is here to stay. So what to consider when redefining your authenticity:
* Values and priorities will become even more important for businesses and their leaders. Artificial intelligence cannot alter those.
* Be true to who you are. Know your voice, and the way you express ideas, content and conflicts.
* Create a vision for your company and what you want to create to keep you moving forward. Being aware and communicating how artificial intelligence fits into the vision will be required as will knowing it will evolve, which is actually both necessary and exciting.
* Be clear on your values and those of the business. Go back to why you started the business to begin with and what was important to you then.
* Continue to build Trust which is a cornerstone for business and relationships which means you are still an essential part.
Authenticity is important in your business and Artificial Intelligence is going to change the way its defined and therefore seen and that can all be a good thing!
