Traditions are those beliefs and customs that we hand down to our children, and then get carried on by the generations to come. These can be a wide variety of things, and sometimes we don't even know we have traditions until they are recognized by others.
Traditions also allow us a way to connect with others, including family members. With the current situation of the world today and the pandemic these traditions we have had in place changed all of a sudden. But the opportunity to create new traditions came to be. Mother’s Day just passed, and often Mother’s Day brunches take place. I have heard of families holding Mother’s Day Brunch over Zoom so they could still carry on their traditions and have family connections.
You see, families have been home together for the first time in years for a long length of time. The “outside” world as we knew it shut down, and we all paused. There is beauty and positives in what has happened.
I’d love to hear what new traditions came about in your life? What positive changes and outcomes did you experience during our world wide pause?
